A rustic, yet chic venue, located on Sunny Hill Golf & Recreation in Kent, Ohio, offering two distinctly on-site elegant ceremony and reception areas- at one exquisite location.

Our Story

It all begins with two parents and their unconditional love for their children. Joe and Kay Repasky had three children; Lynn (Cody), Tony (Destiny), and Joey (Julia). All three of their children decided to get engaged within a year's time. Funny enough, all three decided to get married within the same year as well!

The Event on Sunny Brook is breathtaking, but the countless time spent working with family and friends in building what we see today is what truly matters most! We are not only excited to grow our families, but continue to expand The Event on Sunny Brook for many years to come!

Our Event Spaces

Reception Hall

The Event on Sunny Brook (6,000sq ft in the main area) our premier indoor event space, accommodates up to 315 people, with an option for more guest seating with our patio.

Our reception area is striking and functional with high ceilings, stone wood fireplaces, central air, heated floors, bridal room, and a fully equipped bar. The space provides an upbeat style and sophistication with its location on Sunny Hill Golf & Recreation. Unique roll up doors offer stunning views of the beautifully landscaped skyline while letting in natural light to complement the warmth of the masonry.

Pavilion

Our Pavilion is our new outdoor ceremony space, accommodating up to 400 guests.

Our ceremony area is our newest addition to The Event on Sunny Brook. Our couples have the option to get married on-site at one simple location. High wooden ceilings, stone wood fireplaces, and beautiful view of the Golf Course.

While the service was amazing the food and hall were even better!! Mikes place offered so many different options and had our guests raving about all the food! Appetizers, salads, dinner, and sides all were delicious! We highly suggest their chicken and waffles as a late night snack, the guests LOVED it! The hall is absolutely stunning from the detailed fireplaces to the spacious outdoor patio guests had plenty of room to mingle and dance! Overall our family was highly pleased with every staff member and our whole experience at Sunny Brook! This is the place to spend your special day!!”
